Description
This 12-year-old single malt from Arran’s eponymous distillery has been released to mark 12 years under the stewardship of Master Distiller, James McTaggart. Crafted with 2006 casks and finished in 100% Palo Cortado sherry casks from Jerez, Spain, this expression is limited to just 12,000 bottles at natural cask strength of 51.8% abv.
Sweet citrus on the nose with orange marmalade and mango, before grassy notes and warming ginger. The palate brings rich dark chocolate and more orange notes, with a pinch of salt and buttery sourdough bread. The finish has classic Arran notes with cider apple, warming ginger and rich sherry.
