This year’s edition takes its muse from New Zealand – one of the first places on Earth to welcome the new year. As the sun ascends over the ocean, fireworks fade and the air hums with laughter and song, the first golden light of the day ushers in a spirit of connection and hope. It is this moment of quiet celebration and possibility that The Macallan seeks to embody in every sip.
To bring this vision to life, The Macallan has collaborated with acclaimed New Zealand artist Bonnie Brown, whose striking digital artwork adorns the presentation. Her bold palette and flowing compositions evoke the energy and radiance of dawn, perfectly complementing the whisky’s character.
On the nose, gentle notes of vanilla and toasted oak mingle with bright citrus and soft honey, offering a warm welcome.
