The Paul John Christmas Edition 2025 arrives as the eighth instalment in the distillery’s highly anticipated annual festive release and marks a notable milestone as the oldest whisky Paul John has bottled to date. Produced at the Goa-based distillery in India, this limited edition was crafted from unpeated malt, maturing for five years in bourbon casks before undergoing a second maturation in cream sherry casks.

After two years, the whisky is vatted together for a further year, before finally being bottled at 48% ABV, perfectly natural, it is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

On the nose, it opens with rich aromas of dried fruits, creamy toffee and festive spices, followed by notes of dark chocolate, honeyed malt and a gentle oak warmth. The palate is full and rounded, offering flavours of raisins, figs and sweet sherry, balanced by vanilla, roasted nuts and soft baking spices. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of cocoa, gentle sweetness and a warming, spiced dryness that suits the season perfectly.

Distilled in Goa, India at the Paul John distillery, this unpeated single malt has been matured in first-fill American white oak barrels before being bottled at a strength of 50% abv. Just 1,500 bottles have been produced.

The nose has peaches and cream, vanilla and tropical fruits. The palate brings sweet butterscotch and honey, alongside dried apple chips and hot waffles, before a slight spice emerges in the finish with a lingering note of maple syrup and apricot.

Crafted with care at the Penderyn Distillery in the heart of Wales, this exceptional single cask release showcases the artistry and innovation of Welsh whisky-making.

Matured in an ex-stout cask, it delivers a rich and layered profile that beautifully bridges sweetness and malt depth. Bottled at 60.4% abv this limited edition single malt packs quite a punch.

On the nose, it opens with crisp green apples and ripe peaches mingle with soft vanilla and oak undertones. Hints of milk chocolate and a touch of hoppy bitterness add a nod to its stout heritage. The palate reveals a creamy mouthfeel and sweet maltiness, unfolding into notes of dark fruits such as prune, date, and fig. Layers of chocolate fudge follow, joined by warming spices of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg, with a subtle suggestion of espresso beneath. The finish lingers elegantly, showing a slight dryness from oak tannins and malt, while rich chocolate and roasted coffee notes carry through to the end.

Introducing the 14^th addition to Penderyn’s Icons of Wales series – ‘The Village’.  Released in celebration of Portmeirion’s Centenary, this Italianate-inspired liquid has been matured in Amarone casks, before being bottled at a cask strength of 46% abv.

On the nose, expect layers of ripe fruit and oak spice intertwine with whispers of vanilla and cocoa, followed by delicate honey and gentle toasted oak. The palate unfolds luxuriously, velvety and full-bodied, revealing red berries, ripe plums, soft spice, and a honeyed sweetness touched by floral undertones. On the finish, you’ll find warming notes that linger with candied fruit, spiced oak, and a subtle trace of grape tannins.

Serpent’s Tears is a lightly peated single malt Welsh whisky, crafted at Penderyn’s Llandudno Lloyd Street distillery beneath the brooding presence of the Great Orme. Inspired by local legend and Norse mythology, this expression captures the rugged beauty and maritime mystery of North Wales. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, Serpent’s Tears is a bold and evocative addition to Penderyn’s Dragon Range.

On the nose, it evokes an autumnal landscape with notes of dry leaves, orchard fruits, and gentle wood smoke, while the palate delivers sweet peat, vanilla cream, and spiced baked apples. The finish is long and warming, with soft lingering peat and a delicate barley sweetness. 

Prakaan Select Cask, bottled at 43% ABV, is the inaugural release in the Tribura Series, crafted to highlight the distillery’s signature profile. Maturation in ex-bourbon casks lends gentle undertones of toffee and vanilla, enhancing rather than masking the spirit’s natural character. It offers a refined balance that celebrates the purity and complexity of the distillery’s style. A confident introduction to Prakaan’s craftsmanship, Select Cask sets a high benchmark for the series to follow.

This expression reveals vibrant layers of tropical fruit, delicate honey, and a subtle citrus lift. 

An impressive release from Rabbit Hole. The Louisville-based distillery have released a sweet high rye whiskey that has been matured in slowly-toasted barrels before being bottled at 47.5% abv. The expression is free from chill filtration. The name “Heigold” is in reference to Christian Heigold, a German stonecutter who came to Louisville in the 1850s. Enjoy this whisky neat or over ice. It also works exceptionally well in many a whiskey based cocktail.

The expression opens with aromas of caramel and gentle notes of cinnamon. The palate is oaky with butterscotch and the finish leaves you with hints of citrus and warm spices.

The fifth instalment in Redbreast’s Iberian series celebrating their mastery over fortified wine cask maturation, this Redbreast release was carefully honed to perfection by Master Blender, David McCabe, in Moscatel wine casks from the hills of Málaga in Spain. Before being transported to the Midleton Distillery to house their precious Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, these American oak casks held the wine for 24 months, imbuing them with floral and honey flavours which can clearly be seen in the resulting liquid.

Bottled at 46% abv, you can expect a nose with zesty fruits and a sprinkling of nutmeg. The palate is equally vibrant with fruity notes, interspersed with toffee and honey, made savoury with dried herbs and oak. On the finish oak and spice continues to linger.

A part of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Return to Oz collection showing off the best of Australian whisky, this single malt hails from Riverbourne distillery – located 60km southeast of Canberra. The expression was crafted using heavily peated malt from Bairds, and was matured for two years in an 100 litre cask made from recycled, charred oak wine staves. On the bottle, the deadly animal chosen to represent Riverbourne is the common death adder. It observes a whack-a-wombat session by the distillers, which is a reference to the destruction that local wombats cause in and around the distillery. Bottled at 51% abv.

Expect aromas of earthy yet medicinal iodine, together with heather honey and hints of tangerine creams. The palate is a bold one, opening up with waves of sweet smoke, candied citrus and vanilla toffee and closing with earthy peat and a pinch of salt.
