Blue Hanger, a luxurious 21 year old blend, is named after William Hanger, the 3rd Lord Coleraine, a loyal customer of Berry Bros. & Rudd during the late 18th century. He was renowned for the striking blue clothes he wore and gained the soubriquet, “Blue Hanger”.

When it launched in 1909, Chivas Regal was the world’s first luxury whisky. This 25 year old luxury blend, created for the sophisticated tastes of New York’s high society, swiftly gained an international following. However fate intervened, in the forms of World War 1 and the prohibition era. Chivas Regal 25 year old disappeared from view, becoming a highly sought after collector’s item.

Nearly a century later, Chivas Regal 25 year old has returned. Blended in the style of the original 1909 masterpiece, Chivas Regal 25 year old is carefully crafted by Master Blender Colin Scott, who has employed the same traditions and techniques used by his predecessor, the legendary Charles Howard.

A fabulous release from Compass Box. Artist Blend consists of malts from Linkwood, Clynelish, Balmenach, and more. This whisky has been bottled at 43% abv without chill-filtration or added colouring.

Sea salt, caramel apples, and cinnamon mingle on the nose. The palate has apple pie, apricot, and peach. The finish is lingering and smooth.

A limited edition expression from Compass Box. Canvas is a blended malt consisting of single malts aged in American oak from Tomatin, Glenburgie, Glen Elgin, and Imperial. This expression has been bottled at 46% abv without chill-filtration or added colouring.

Beeswax and citrus mingle on the nose. The palate has vanilla, shortbread, and heather honey. The finish is is long and full of cardamom and nutmeg.

The 2018 bottling of Flaming Heart blended malt from Compass Box is the sixth edition of this powerful expression. It was initially released in 2006 as the first whisky to combine Scotch aged in new French oak with Islay malts. Five re-releases later, this newer edition has introduced a subtle sherry-cask influence that adds an additional layer of complexity and richness. 15,050 bottles have been produced, each filled at 48.9% abv without chill-filtration or added colouring. Can be enjoyed when served neat or paired with rich cheeses.

Fiery peat fills the nose, with coastal, salty notes shining through alongside sweet honey and vanilla. More smoke makes for a rich and complex palate, with Christmas spices and dried fruits adding to the intensity. A long and biscuity finish ensues, with lasting spice and orange peel. 

When Compass Box first started 20 years ago, the first whisky they offered was Hedonism. In 20 years, Hedonism has taken many forms including Hedonism The Muse and Hedonism Quindecimus. Hedonism Felicitas is a blend of three different grain whiskies from Port Dundas, Strathclyde and North British distilleries, with each whisky distilled in different decades. The final liquid is bottled at a cask strength of 53% abv, allowing for a beautiful concentration of flavour.

Vibrant on the nose, a dram of Felicitas offers sweet notes of buttery caramel and vanilla, along with a kick of cardamom and orange zest. The mouthfeel is creamy and fruity, with tropical fruits, oak spices, honey and baked apples. Coconut shavings arrive soon after, with a freshly baked apple pie making for a warm and pleasant finish. 

Juveniles is the result of a collaboration between whisky blender Compass Box and Paris wine bar Juveniles Bistrot à Vins. Whisky maker John Glaser and Tim Johnston are long-time friends and this special whisky has been created to celebrate both wine and their friendship.

Acknowledging Tim’s request to create something ‘bright, smooth, not smoky…’, John Glaser has pulled together whisky from Strathmill, Balmenach, Clynelish and Glendullan from refill hogsheads, re-charred hogsheads and both first-fill and refill sherry butts to create a vivid and bright dram that balances barley sugar and pear drop notes against sweet vanilla and an underlying herbal character.
