$130.00 Availability: In StockA collection created in 1968 by ‘Mr George’ Urquhart, a man considered to be a whisky visionary, the Connoisseurs Choice range has had more than 2,000 bottles added to it over the intervening years, from almost 100 Scottish distilleries! Each bottling in this iconic collection is a small batch expression chosen and created by Gordon & MacPhail’s unique expertise in matching spirit to oak casks, an expertise that’s been passed through the generations.
This bottling comes from Speyside distillery Speyburn, and was matured for 15 years in a single first-fill sherry butt (Cask 552) before being bottled at a cask strength of 60.2% abv. On the nose there is soft vanilla, red apple, clover and tangerine. The taste is full of white pepper, spice and poached pear. The finish is rich with walnut and oak, which lingers.

Only 6989 bottles have been filled, each one at a preferred strength of 46% abv.The nose is sweet with chocolate, plums and vanilla ice cream. The palate brings more sweet notes of caramel, pears and red berries, before a long finish with a gentle spice. -

$145.00 Availability: In StockDistilled, matured, and bottled in Scotland by Hunter Laing, this classic wee number is a fabulous 18 year old Speyside dram which is full of flavour. One of only 676 bottles drawn from a refill butt, the liquid was bottled at a smooth 50% abv in September 2025.
On the nose expect raspberries, stewed plums, and dark chocolate. The palate is full of freshly cut barley, lemon zest, and marzipan. The finish is long, and lingers with herbal notes.

$29.00 Availability: In StockThis Speyside single malt hails from the Speyburn distillery in Rothes and is matured in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks to create bold flavours and a smooth finish. Bottled at 40% abv.
The nose is fresh and clean with some zesty lemon notes. The palate opens with sweet toffee and butterscotch, leading to a long and smooth finish.

The palate brings oranges, toffee, vanilla and leather amidst a gentle spice. The finish is creamy and long lasting with a warming spice. -

The single malt has been aged for 18 years in American and Spanish oak casks, and is bottled at 46% abv. Free from chill filtration, and at natural colour.
Expect aromas of caramel, candied almonds and tropical fruits on the nose, leading to a palate full of cocoa, toffee and a hint of lemon peel, with a pleasant smokiness throughout. The finish is long and smoky, with a touch of honey.

Speyburn 2008 12 Year Old Connoisseurs Choice Batch 21/093
$79.00 Availability: In StockThis release is from Speyburn Distillery, coming in the ‘Cask Strength’ range of Connoisseurs Choice. A 2008 vintage, this was bottled after a 12 year long maturation process in a first fill sherry butt, being bottled at 60.3% abv in 2021. It has a natural colour and is free from any chill filtration. 656 bottles have been produced, so get your hands on this one whilst you can.
Rich sherry aromas harmonise with cinnamon and lemon peel. The palate is full of red berries, blood orange and a fruitcake flavour. The finish is medium-bodied, long, and has supple notes of treacle toffee. A speyside whisky through and through, and a quintessential sherry-cask dram.

Speyburn Bradan Orach
$42.00 Availability: In StockDistilled at Speyburn in Rothes, a distillery that has traditionally been better known in US markets than domestically, this Speyside single malt is matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks and takes its name from the Gaelic for ‘golden salmon’ in tribute to the world-class salmon fishing on the River Spey.
The nose is crisp and fresh with green apple, lemon, honey and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and sweet with creamy notes of vanilla and honey, before a long and spicy finish.
