The Jazz Crescendo is Clynelish’s signature honey and waxy character at its finest. Matured solely within American oak bourbon casks for a decade, the expression boasts all the sweet and soulful richness of classic American jazz. Presented at 57.5% abv.
Maritime aromas come first on the nose, before becoming sweeter and rounder with notes of caramel and vanilla bean. The palate sings with powerful vanilla sweetness and spice, and hints of salt and pepper that reach its smooth crescendo in the long, spicy finish.

Clynelish 12 Year Old Special Release 2022
$175.00 Availability: In StockDiageo’s Special Release 2022 bottles have arrived at The Whisky Shop! This bottle bears a powerful illustration of The Wildcat’s Golden Gaze. Finished in oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks, this is a wonderfully sweet and spicy expression.
The nose is refined with honey, smouldering heather, and plenty of garden herbs. The palate is sumptuous and very creamy before leading into a long, peppery, drying, and spicy finish.

Clynelish 14 Year Old
$54.00 Availability: In StockAs one of the four corners of Johnnie Walker, Clynelish distillery has just one official bottling – the 14 Year Old. This coastal, and gently peated Highland single malt is closer to an Island style than other mainland malts. Bottled at 46% abv.
The sweet and floral nose leads to a pleasant creamy mouthfeel full of maritime flavour. Sea salt emerges on the dry and notably lengthy finish.Â

The barley that makes Clynelish is still malted in the Northern Highlands and water is still piped down from the Clynemilton Burn to the distillery.
Through the craftsmanship of the Master Distiller, these combine to make the cool, coastal single malt whisky, aged in oak casks for at least fourteen years.

$5,950.00 Availability: In StockPersonally selected by the Urquhart family, who have owned Gordon & Macphail for four generations, this Clynelish expression has been bottled as a part of the Private Collection. Aged for half a century in a single American oak cask, the whisky has been bottled at a very impressive 58% abv. Presented in a spectaular wooden box, as one of only 135 bottles.
On the nose, expect aromas of apple, walnut and ginger spice, before touches of Sicilian lime and subtle aged leather come to the fore. Poached pear flavours give way to apricot and banana on the palate, alongside hints of vanilla, pineapple and mature oak. The finish is full and long, with lingering citrus zest.

Expect aromas of honeycomb, caramel, and salt air on the nose. The palate brings liquorice, walnut whip, and orange peel before leading into a finish full of spicy chilli and golden syrup.

Clynelish 27 Year Old Authors’ Series
$550.00 Availability: In StockAnother outstanding expression from Hunter Laing’s Authors’ Series. This 27-year-old year Clynelish has been matured in a bourbon barrel and was bottled at 53.8% abv in March 2021. This whisky is partnered with the iconic author and minister Edward Everett Hale.
The nose is gentle with rhubarb and shortbread. The palate is sweet and creamy with apple pie and custard before leading into the lingering, pleasant, and fruity finish.

Clynelish 27 Year Old Platinum Old & Rare
$525.00 Availability: In StockThis single cask Clynelish is from the Platinum Old & Rare series of very limited single malts from Hunter Laing & Co. bottled exclusively for The Whisky Shop. Distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2021, this 27-year-old is left free from chill filtration and at a natural cask strength of 48.9% abv. Limited to 121 bottles.
Rich, sweet, honeyed aromas are entwined with toffee, fresh blueberry muffin, banana and golden syrup. There is also some Granny Sookers, the traditional Scottish sweeties with a sour grape taste. Over time and with a touch of water you get the classic waxy character often associated with Clynelish – in this one it’s candles burning inside pumpkin/halloween lanterns.
Lots of honey on the initial taste – quite earthy but freshens up with the zip of gooseberry and kiwi and also some underripe banana. Theres some brown sugar and cinnamon buns as it moves into the finish which is very dessert like – chocolatey, French pastries and salted caramel cheesecake.

Clynelish Distillers Edition
$71.00 Availability: In StockIn the 1960s, the Clynelish Distillery was updated with electricity installed and the still which had previously been heated by a hand-fired coal burning furnace converted to internal steam heating. Then, true to its origins as a model design, Clynelish was replaced by a new distillery built on an adjacent site in 1967-68.
Each Distillers Edition expression undergoes a second or double maturation in casks that have previously held a fortified wine. Brilliant, clean and refined with great balance, this Clynelish Distillers Edition has been double-matured in carefully selected Oloroso Seco casks, making it easy to drink.

House Tyrell of Highgarden rules over the Reach, the lush and fertile region of Westeros that feeds the entire realm. Like the Reach, Clynelish is positioned among green pastures and rolling hills with scenic views of the North Sea.
The nose is bursting with fresh fruits, with a rich and creamy vanilla emerging. The palate is complex and sweet with the signature Clynelish waxiness, before subtle maritime notes are revealed in the finish.

A limited edition natural cask strength single malt from the Clynelish distillery at Brora on the Sutherland coast, this is the first ever Clynelish release in this series.
Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, rejuvenated and refill American Oak, and ex-bodega & refill European Oak. The casks are hand-selected and aged for at least fifteen years, and often far more.
This was created by master craftsman, Dr. Jim Beveridge, and there are only 2.964 individually numbered bottles available worldwide.
A fresh but fully mature nose. The keynote waxy scents are balanced by oily butterscotch, fragrant mixed herbs and unripe brambles. Water increases both the waxiness and the fruitiness, which both come through in the taste, which starts sweet and finishes tart and lightly spicy. Dries in the finish, with hints of cedar-wood.

Fruitcake aromas infuse with sweet raspberry and strawberry. Sweet, smooth orange zest flavours join with sultanas and chopped walnut, before a full finish of lingering spice and subtle aniseed.

$175.00 Availability: In StockDistilled, matured, and bottled in Scotland by Hunter Laing, this Highland release comes from the Clynelish distillery. A single cask offering, the liquid was matured in a refill hogshead for 16 years before being released as one of only 362 bottlings in September 2025.
Bottled at 50% abv, you can expect a nose of sweet smoke, honey, and toffee apples, leading to a palate of liquorice, smoked ham, and butterscotch. The finish is long and complex, with a building, lingering flavour of dry oak.
