Description
This is a rare whisky, born out of a rare process. This 25 year old single malt from The Singleton Distillery at Duffton is a Trinity Cask Harmony. This means that it has undergone maturation in a trinity of casks: European oak, refill ex-bourbon, and harmonised together in bespoke American oak casks. What this does is create a deep and resonant harmony of flavours.
This expression has a nose of exotic spices and vintage oak, and fruit. Sumptuous pear, sharp pineapple and passionfruit arrive on the palate, and the finish is sweet and full of body, with lingering delightful tastes of vanilla, ginger, honey and apple.
