Description
The Talisker Distillers Edition is a rich and sumptuous ten-year-old single malt from Skye’s oldest distillery. After being aged in American oak, the expression underwent further maturation in Amoroso sherry casks which have made this particularly dram much sweeter than Talisker’s usual fare. This whisky perfectly balances smoky maritime flavours with the sherry cask sweetness.
The nose is excellent – full of sweet grapes and very clean. This sweetness continues into the palate, which is balanced by malty, slightly oily, and peaty flavours. The finish is captivating and full of rich dark chocolate and gentle vanilla.
