Description
This American rye whiskey from WhistlePig is their oldest yet! Produced by the Vermont farm distillery that aims for ‘Triple Terroir’ – where whiskey is distilled using the farm’s own grain, water and custom Vermont white oak casks – this expression was matured for 15 years before enjoying the finish in heavily charred Vermont oak barrels. This wonderfully warming dram was bottled at 46% abv.
The nose has shortbread, white pepper, and hazelnut. The palate has baking spices, cocoa, and toasted oak. The baking spices continue into the long finish alongside sweeter notes of butterscotch.
