Description
Distilled from barley peated to 167ppm (phenol parts per million) and matured in Virgin Oak – a first for the Bruichladdich brand – the Octomore 7.4 combines the smoky character of Octomore with sweet honey and vanilla notes from the casks.The nose has powerful smoke tempered by sweet rich oak and dried fruit, buttery toast, vanilla, pine needles and green apples with a dusting of cinnamon. The palate is sweet with peat smoke and toasted oak, before coconut, lemon peel, caramel and sweet orange come through. The finish is long and lingering with vanilla and honeysuckle fading into the smoke.
