Description
The oldest release from the now lost Littlemill distillery, this Lowland single malt has been aged for four decades in American oak and first-fill bourbon barrels before spending three months in Oloroso sherry casks. Dubbed the ‘Celestial Edition’, Littlemill 40 Year Old is presented in a stunning display case featuring the star chart of the night the spirit was laid to rest. Each hand-crafted Glencairn Crystal decanter is engraved with its unique bottle number. Only 250 bottles have been produced, each one at a strength of 46.8% abv.The nose has floral burst of honeysuckle and elderflower, before oak, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate opens with juicy green apple, pineapple and lime, before sultanas and vanilla toffee emerge. The finish is long and fruity with waves of spice.
