Description
Distilled in 2013, this expression matured for seven and a half years in first-fill bourbon barrels before undergoing a year long finish in first-fill Pedro Ximenez hogsheads. Released to celebrate the Campbeltown Malts Festival, this heavily peated dram was bottled at a cask strength of 56.5% abv.
The nose brings maritime notes, with plenty of sea salt and bonfire smoke. The palate offers baking spices, peat smoke, and sticky treacle before a satisfying coastal finish.
