Description
This Deanston 2008 single malt is an embodiment of the distillery’s long history as a place of manufacture. Using high quality ingredients sourced from local farms, this expression was distilled and filled into Oloroso sherry casks on the 4th of September 2008. It had a 12-year-long sleep in these casks, before being filled into 13,902 bottles. This eco-conscious single malt is a sensual treat. Free from chill filtration, this whisky arrives at 52.7% and comes with a natural colour.
Cherries, black forest gâteaux, sweet spice, nutmeg and sultanas combine on the nose. The palate is one of treacle toffee, pine, milky coffee and festive spices. These combine in a long and warming finish, with subtle notes of gingerbread and nutmeg.
