Description
A spectacular Speyside single malt from Benriach that has been crafted from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit and matured for 21 years in four cask types: bourbon barrels, sherry casks, virgin oak casks, and Bordeaux red wine casks. This expression has been bottled at 46% abv without any colouring added.
Lots of orchard fruits, berries and sweet honey impart on the nose, followed by a rich and layered palate; the taste is filled with sultanas, pecans, candied grape and caramelised pear, alongside a wisp of smoked pine nut. Dried fruits linger in a nutty and gently spiced finish.
