Description
This 21 year old Speyside Single Malt has been matured in traditional American bourbon barrels before finishing in a small batch of high quality Tawny Port casks sources from the Douro region in the north of Portugal. Bottled at 46% abv, the Port casks impart a distinctive and rich red fruit taste to the liquid.The nose is balanced between cranberry and white pepper, developing into a combination of tart raspberries and boiled sweets. In the mouth, delicious toasted oak spices with hints of orange peel contrast with red berry compote and sour cherries, with a rich stewed barley character to the finish.
