It has matured for the majority of its 30 years in American white oak, then finished ageing in the finest Oloroso Sherry butts.

This distinguished 40 year old is a blended Scotch whisky from Whyte & Mackay’s Rare & Prestigious collection, double matured to ensure a beautifully balanced blend. Dedicated to the memory of John MacIlraith, former Managing Director of Whyte & Mackay, this rare 40 year old whisky is rich and mellow and has a very high malt content blend – 70% malt to 30% grain.
