$250.00 Availability: In StockPart of the Diageo Special Releases 2016 collection, this limited edition Speyside Single Malt was distilled in 1990 at Mannochmore distillery, a relatively young distillery whose whisky is rarely seen as a single malt. Matured in a mix of first-fill ex-bourbon American oak barrels and new and ex-bodega European oak butts, only 3,954 individually numbered bottles are available worldwide.The nose is fruity to start with candied orange peel and red apple emerging from fruitcake layers. The palate is hot and sweet with vanilla toffee, creamy coffee and burnt orange peel, becoming fragrant and floral with an oaky dryness. The finish is medium and firm with a faintly smoky warmth. -

With only 338 bottles available this cask strength (54.5% ABV) expression showcases the distinctive character of Mannochmore, enhanced by the luxurious influence of Pedro Ximénez cask maturation.
On the nose, rich cherry jam is accompanied by warming oak spice, while the palate delivers a delightful balance of red berry tart followed by a subtle crack of black pepper. The finish lingers with milk chocolate praline and a luxurious, fruity sweetness on the palate.
