Distilled from barley local to the distillery, this fruity Lowland liquid was matured in 90% ex-Bourbon barrels and 10% STR red wine barriques, giving it added sweetness, spice, and depth. The final expression was bottled at 46% abv.Â
The result is an expression with a nose that is elegant and floral with summer blossom, soft vanilla, and apricot. On the palate expect soft fudge with a hint of spice running throughout and layers of pineapple tart and toffee apple. The finish is long and refined with citrus and a continuation of the subtle spice.Â

Kingsbarns 6 Year Old Single Cask Ex-Peated Cask
$108.00 Availability: In StockCrafted as a celebration of natural oak cask maturation, this single cask release from Kingsbarns has been aged for six years in an ex-Peated cask (no.1650751). The stunning Lowland expression was decanted into only 252 bottles, and presented at a robust 59% abv. Free from chill filtration and at natural colour.
Expect gentle smoke on the nose, along with sweet pear and earthy tobacco aromas. The palate is bursting with flavours of caramel shortbread, green apples and freshly baked banana bread, which lead to a medium length finish of delicate peat, new leather and demerara sugar.

Availability: In StockDistilled at the family owned Kingsbarns distillery in East Neuk, Fife, this Lowland single malt is made using local barley and matured for the full duration in ex-Oloroso American Oak sherry butts, bottled at 46% abv with natural colour and free from chill filtration. These casks were selected to influence the whisky with a particular nuttiness and rich fruitiness typical of this type of sherry, as well as the gentle oak vanilla to compliment the charcter of the Kingsbarn spirit.
On the nose is christmas cake with a rich dark chocolate and fresh berries. The palate is pineapple sweetness with orange peel and dried fruit, finishing up with toasted walnuts and apricot.

This limited edition release was bottled at a cask strength of 59.9% abv with natural colour and free from chill filtration. This is a particularly well-balanced and refined single malt.
On the nose, there is maple syrup, fruitcake, and butterscotch. The palate is sweet with pineapple and cinnamon sugar before finishing up with milk chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, and crystallised ginger.

This expression is a limited release matured in first-fill bourbon casks and shaved, toasted and re-charred red wine casks before being bottled at a cask strength of 61.8% abv.
The nose is dramatic with black cherry, tobacco and vanilla. The palate is bright and zesty, bursting with orange notes, before a satisfying finish with a touch of clove, ginger, and jammy rhubarb.
