On the nose, there are aromas of smoky bacon and zesty lemon. Bright blood orange and ripe apples develop on the palate, complemented by the robust peat smoke. The finish is long with lingering smoke and a subtle spiciness.

The Glenturret Triple Wood was named as the World’s Top Single Malt Scotch Whisky at the 2023 IWSC Awards, winning an Outstanding Gold Medal with a score of 99. We will be joined by Jamie Morrison, Global Brand Ambassador, and the event will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, 9th November.
Founded in 1763, The Glenturret Distillery is located in Crieff, Perthshire, and is claimed to be the oldest distillery in Scotland. Using traditional processes, they combine the knowledge and experience gained over generations of distillers, with the creativity of modern experts to create unforgettable moments.
Each pack will contain 6 x 3cl samples of:

- Glenturret 10 Year Old Peat Smoked
- Glenturret 12 Year Old 2022
- Glenturret 12 Year Old 2023

Additionally, following the event, you will receive a 15% discount on all the whiskies sampled.
This event is hosted on Zoom. You’ll receive a link to the event in your tasting pack and by email prior to the event. If you join before the event is due to start you’ll enter the waiting room until being admitted to the tasting with all other participants.
Can’t attend on the night? Don’t worry! Our events are recorded and the video made publicly available the day after the tasting. The recording can then be accessed via the link in the pack, so you can purchase and enjoy in your own time or give as a gift to be enjoyed any time!

Glenturret 10 Year Old Peat Smoked
$75.00 Availability: In StockThis 10-year-old peated single malt has been crafted using the same stills that produce the distillery’s unpeated spirit. Soft, smoky and sweet, this expression comes at 50% abv without chill filtration or added colouring.
The first wisp of peat smoke introduces the nose, alongside lemon zest and dark chocolate. Fresh citrus fruits, honeyed heather and sea salt make for a sweet and smoky palate with an oily mouthfeel. The finish is long with a slight burnt oak quality.

Glenturret 10 Year Old Peated 2023 Release
$69.00 Availability: In StockThis 2023 core release from The Glenturret has been made with peated malt, paying homage to its firm place in the distillery’s history. Records show that The Glenturret dug peat from the mosses at their water source for whisky production in the early 1800’s, however this expression celebrates the varying sources of peat procured for their smokier whiskies. The Highland single malt has been matured for a decade in a combination of first-fill and second-fill European and American oak casks, before being bottled at 48.4% abv.
Expect dark smoke, citrus and vanilla on the nose, followed by a palate full of salted caramel and smoky wood spices which drift into the distance.

Glenturret 12 Year Old

The single malt was matured for a quarter of a century in trio of casks: two European oak butts and one refill Hogshead. A triumph from Scotland’s oldest working distillery, the whisky is a delicate balance between both intense and light flavours. Bottled at 42.2% abv and presented in a gorgeous embossed wooden box.
On the palate you will find spiced fruits, candied ginger, dark chocolate orange and rich deep oak with worn leather.

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2021, this 30-year-old is left free from chill filtration and at a natural cask strength of 42.5% abv. Limited to 124 bottles.
There are aromas of tropical fruits – pineapple, mango and melon – alongside some soft oak, crème caramel and some gentle floral notes. With time it releases a bit more lemon zest, fresh meadow grasses and flowers, and some creamy hot chocolate.
On the palate the flavours are gentle with light honey sweetness. It shows it’s maturity with rich oak then stone fruits such as yellow plums and peaches developing into green grapes, sugar coated lemon and white chocolate finishing up with ruch toffee and vanilla.
