Fettercairn’s ‘200th Anniversary Collection’ comprises of six remarkable bottles of Single Malt, ranging from a very rare 60 Year Old to a 3 Year Old – the rarest in the collection, with the full set enjoying a combined age of 200 years. The whiskies will be housed in a stunning, tailor-made, hand-crafted Scottish Oak display cabinet which together is set to make for a true collector’s piece. Strictly limited to 10 sets available around the world, with only 1 in the UK.
This very special collection and exquisite cabinet not only houses two centuries of imaginative whisky making, but celebrates Fettercairn’s ethos as whisky makers who are committed to doing things differently and naturally asking ‘what if’.Â
Fettercairn’s famed stills feature a unique copper cooling ring, cascading cool mountain water to the outside of the still, as the spirit is distilled within. It was an innovation created by former distillery manager Alistair Menzies who asked ‘what if’ there was a way to create a lighter spirit. Still in place to this day, Fettercairn’s unique tropical house style is attributed to this invention. Â
Back in 1824, Fettercairn’s founder Sir Alexander Ramsey asked ‘what if’ there was an opportunity to turn illegal distillation, common in the early 19th century, into an opportunity for jobs and commerce. He campaigned to licence Scotch Whisky distillation and in 1824, was one of the first to apply and Fettercairn distillery was opened. This philosophy of ‘purposeful invention’ has naturally continued over the last 200 years of whisky making at Fettercairn and as they look towards the future, this can be found in many aspects of what they do.
More recently as they look to the next 200 years and beyond, Gregg Glass, master whisky maker asked ‘what if’ we could use fallen Scottish oak trees in cask making, leading to the creation of the multi-award-winning Scottish Oak Programme. Distillery Manager Stewart Walker led the development of the Fettercairn 200 Club, a coalition between Fettercairn, Baird’s Malts and local farmers who provide 100% local barely from within a 50 mile radius – an industry first and the response to asking ‘what if’ we used only local materials from the rich and fertile landscape that surrounds the distillery.
This ethos is exemplified through Fettercairn’s 200th Anniversary Collection, a peerless collection of six whiskies, each an expression of Fettercairn’s curiosity across generations of makers, united by a spirit of purposeful invention, leading to landmark moments across 200 years of whisky making. Digital Drams: Fettercairn Virtual Tasting October 2022

The tasting will take place on Tuesday, 25th of October at 7.30pm. And the sample pack will contaci 3cl drams of:

The event will be hosted on Zoom, and you will receive a private link the day before the tasting. The event will begin at 7:30pm and if you join before this time you will be entered into a virtual waiting room until we admit everyone at the same time.

Fettercairn 16 Year Old 2nd Release 2021
$69.00 Availability: In StockThe second release of the anticipated annual expression from the Highland distillery is aged for 16 years in a trilogy of first-fill Oloroso casks, refill Oloroso casks, and rare first-fill Palo Cortado sherry butts. This is a limited release for 2021 and bottled at a strength of 46.4% abv.
A completely unique aspect in Fettercairn’s distilling methods is that they continually douse their stills in cold water which cools the copper and increases condensation inside so only the lightest vapours are allowed to rise, leading to what they believe is a lighter and purer spirit.
The nose opens with almonds, dried fruit and oak notes. Tropical fruits lead the palate with ripe mango, citrus zest, apricots and raisins balanced with walnut, mocha and liquorice. The finish lingers with salted caramel and warming gingerbread.

Matured in a combination of first fill and second fill Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez, and ex-bourbon casks, this is an intensely flavoured single malt. The nose has aged oak, golden syrup, tropical fruits, and figs. The palate brings dark chocolate, baking spices, all-butter pastry, and plenty of fresh vanilla before moving into the satisfying finish full of espresso, spicy ginger, and apple pie.

A spectacular new 18-year-old expression from Fettercairn. Using only the purest spring water and matured in ex-bourbon white oak casks, this dram offers a beatiful amber gold colour and bottled at 46.8% abv.
The nose has mango, cinnamon, and candied almonds. There is nutmeg, fresh pastry, and pineapple on the palate that then makes way to Madagascan vanilla and dark chocolate in the finish.

The nose has sweet honey, treacle and molasses with a touch of ginger and rich sherry. The palate brings aspects of liquorice and citrus, balanced with raisins, toffee and Demerara sugar, before a soft spice in the fruity finish.

The nose has over-ripe bananas, toasted bread, citrus fruit and plum, giving way to raisin, bitter chocolate, fig and spice. The palate is rich with flavours of spiced pear, coffee, caramelised orange and liquorice, followed by black cherries and treacle with a finish of plum, demerara sugar and chocolate.

$19,000.00 Availability: In StockAged for five decades in carefully selected casks, this superb, well balanced and impressive non-chill filtered single malt was launched by Fettercairn mid-2018 as part of their new core range. As well as incorporating the notes of tropical fruits, soft spices and toffee like sweetness that is to be expected from a Fettercairn whisky there is also a surprisingly fresh fruitiness to its palate that you would not expect from a malt of this age.
Notes of blackcurrant, vanilla pear and soft spices fill the palate to start with but are then quickly followed with a strong finish of Nectarine, tropical fruits and subtle hints of roasted coffee.
