It highlights specially selected parcels, including Clynelish matured in second-fill American oak barrels that were toasted and charred to exacting standards. At 49% ABV, Brûlée Royale delivers a full-bodied richness and a lingering sweetness that invites slow savouring.
Expect a nose of crème brûlée, poached pears and freshly split vanilla pods. The palate is thick and velvety with clotted cream, honeyed malt and broiled peaches, unfolding into layers of custard Danish and gently toasted tarte Tatin. Can be enjoyed when served neat or paired with rich cheeses.
Fiery peat fills the nose, with coastal, salty notes shining through alongside sweet honey and vanilla. More smoke makes for a rich and complex palate, with Christmas spices and dried fruits adding to the intensity. A long and biscuity finish ensues, with lasting spice and orange peel.Â

In 20 years, Hedonism has taken many forms including Hedonism The Muse and Hedonism Quindecimus. Hedonism Felicitas is a blend of three different grain whiskies from Port Dundas, Strathclyde and North British distilleries, with each whisky distilled in different decades. The final liquid is bottled at a cask strength of 53% abv, allowing for a beautiful concentration of flavour.
Vibrant on the nose, a dram of Felicitas offers sweet notes of buttery caramel and vanilla, along with a kick of cardamom and orange zest. The mouthfeel is creamy and fruity, with tropical fruits, oak spices, honey and baked apples. Coconut shavings arrive soon after, with a freshly baked apple pie making for a warm and pleasant finish.Â

Acknowledging Tim’s request to create something ‘bright, smooth, not smoky…’, John Glaser has pulled together whisky from Strathmill, Balmenach, Clynelish and Glendullan from refill hogsheads, re-charred hogsheads and both first-fill and refill sherry butts to create a vivid and bright dram that balances barley sugar and pear drop notes against sweet vanilla and an underlying herbal character.Â

Compass Box Magic Cask

After sampling them three years later, the team at Compass Box were so fascinated that they began more experimentation, leading to the Magic Cask! This expression was bottled in March 2020 at46% abv without chill-filtration or added colouring, with just 5,538 bottles produced.Â
Aromas of marmalade, chai tea and plum pudding fill the nose. Flavours of toffee and chocolate fill the palate, with ripe golden dessert apples dominating the taste. The finish has lingering oak.Â

When creating this expression, lead whisky maker James Saxon chose whiskies that boast somewhat animalistic hints; this blended comprises single malt whiskies from Mortlach, Deanston, Laphroaig, and Glen Elgin Distilleries, with blended malt from the Highland Malt Blend Distillery.
A mix of aromatic fruits, leather, and baking spices rise to meet the nose. The palate is particularly juicy with ripe fruit. Dark fruits and wood smoke linger in the finish.

The Whiskymakers believe that the marriage of the parcels in this single malt affords a new understanding of what the distillery can produce. Crafted with 15-year-old, 16-year-old and 22-year-old whisky, this first release is bottled at 46% abv and limited to just 4,394 bottles worldwide.
The nose is light and fruity with a touch of oak spice. The palate has a rich creamy character with malty cereal notes, ripe orchard fruits and salted caramel, before a long and satisfying finish.

This 2019 release combines sherry cask matured Islay malt with the maritime influence of Talisker, some old and ethereal malt from Clynelish in the Highlands, and a proprietary blend of Highland malt matured in toasted French oak. Bottled at 48.9% abv, just 8,802 bottles have been produced worldwide, free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.
The nose is complex with peat smoke accentuated by cherry blossom. On the palate, peat and maritime notes develop with toasted oak spice and a sweet icing sugar note, before the long and warming finish.

Peat Monster Arcana was made by taking a cask strength version of the original bottling and then maturing it in three French oak custom casks for more than two years. It was then blended with malt whiskies from Talisker, Miltonduff and Ardbeg Distilleries in order to create a rich, spicy and smoky profile. A perfect pairing with blue cheese!
Aromas of chocolate, cinnamon and tar fill the nose, while the palate is fruity and waxy with notes of lemons, shortbread and orange peel. Peat smoke lingers throughout to a dry and delicious finish.

When creating this expression, lead whisky maker James Saxon chose whiskies imbued with jubilant and exotic flavours; this blended comprises malt whiskies from Miltonduff, Clynelish and Glen Elgin Distilleries, with grain whisky from the North British DIstillery.
A mix of fresh fruits (ripe pear), tropical fruits (pineapple and papaya) and dried fruits (apricot) create a gorgeous bouquet on the nose, alongside sweet notes of marshmallow and vanilla custard. Fruits continue to burst on the palate, with spicy ginger and caramelised nuts appearing in between each sip of this creamy blend. Spices linger in the finish alongside creamy pastry.Â
