The first That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottling from the White Peak Distillery, this is a single malt English spirit. This spirit is matured for two years in an STR red wine hogshead cask. At 50% abv, this is a limited release of 548 bottles. The first batch single cask expression may not have been aged long enough to be called a single malt whisky, but it still packs in an interesting depth of flavour. One for those looking to try a truly unique expression.
Green apple, coconut, sea salt salinity and herbal thyme arrives on the nose. The palate is malty, with black cherry, dark chocolate, and a lick of peat. The finish continues in this vein, with rich toffee, and sweet and earthy notes.
