Description
A 20-year-old Tobermory that has been bottled for the Golden Cask range by the House of Macduff. The liquid was drawn from a single cask that was laid to rest in 1995 for two decades, before being bottled in 2015 at 57.8% ABV and without chill filtration. Highly limited, just 243 bottles of this single malt have been produced.
The nose has rich notes of citrus and tropical fruits. The palate is dry with initial oak spice, followed by a burst of stone fruits, namely apricots and lychees. The finish is surprisingly chewy with sweet toffee lingering on.
