The legend states that long ago the black rock beneath Cardhu cracked and unleashed a tropical paradise of warmth, with an exotic waft of aromas, for that day only. This special release is a nod to that tale, finishing in Jamaican Rum casks for a vibrant tropical sweetness. Bottled at a mighty 58% abv, this 16-year-old whisky is a beautifully sweet treat enjoyed neat.
Aromas of pink grapefruit and ripe mango move into a palate of spiced toffee, caramelised pineapple and a satisfying astringency, ending up sweet and peppery with oak spiciness.
