Description
This Sovereign Single Grain bottling is presented by notable independent bottlers Hunter Laing & Co. of Glasgow. Bottled from a single cask, this expression was distilled at Invergordon Distillery in Ross-shire and underwent a 38 year slumber in a re-fill Hogshead cask. Free from chill-filtration and at natural colour, the expression was bottled at an impressive cask strength of 60.6% abv.
Expect a nose full of blackcurrants, highland toffee, and gentle smoke, leading to a palate with flavours of raspberries, dark chocolate and toffee apples. The finish is long, with lingering herbal smoke.
