Description
From independent bottlers, Duncan Taylor, this Glenallachie expression has been aged for 13 years, including a five-month finish in reconstructed ex sherrywood Octave casks. Presented at 54.0% abv. Only 98 bottles were drawn from the cask, which was reserved exclusively for us at The Whisky Shop.
There are aromas of fruit juice, lemon zest, soft caramel and fresh grass and flowers on the nose, which lead to a sherry-led palate with touches of fruit pudding, smores, apple pie and white pepper.
