Description
Hailing from the esteemed Petite Champagne terroir, this grand single estate Cognac has been aged for an incredible 70 years. Distilled in 1950, the remarkable spirit was created in an era long since passed, and from a family-owned distillery that was recently closed for good. From its home on the banks of the Charente river, the Cognac has waited patiently to be sipped upon for the last seven decades, developing exceptional maturity as the world changed around it. One of only 375 bottles, and presented at 45% abv.Expect subtle aromas of candied peaches, dried figs and apricot jam, with an underlayer of floral notes. The palate is surprisingly fresh, with woody notes and hints of cocoa, liquorice and delicate mixed spice. Simply decadent.
