Description
Crafted from just five refill hogsheads at Bunnahabhain Distillery, this limited Islay Single Malt was distilled in 2018 and matured for six years. A rare heavily peated expression, it draws its name from a local water source and offers a strikingly smoky yet refined profile. Bottled at 48% abv without chill-filtration or added colour, this small-batch release exemplifies the bold diversity of Islay malts.
On the nose, expect sharpness with a chalky brininess. Peat with lime and nettle vegetation bursts through, followed by a puff of dusty dark chocolate. On the palate, you’ll find an abundance of lime and salt. Nettle cordial follows, with a light effervescence and a brilliant minerality. High-cocoa solid chocolate rounds it off, studded with crystallised lime peel. The finish closes the experience with lingering lime leaf and dusty coal smoke.
