Description
Presented by independent bottlers, Single Cask Nation, they have named this expression from an unnamed Orkney distillery after the neolithic monument, the Stones of Stenness. Aged for nine years, including a 75-month second maturation in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, the single malt is presented at 58.8% abv. One of only 275 bottles.
On the nose, expect notes of heather honey, malty biscuits, peaches, oak and touches of aromatic smoke. The palate is oily in texture, with flavours of black pepper, honey, sultanas and citrus leading to a finish full of lime zest.
