Description
Formerly one of the less well-known gems of Speyside, coveted by those in the know, Mortlach’s light is now being firmly pushed from under its bushel with a luxurious new range of single malts.
The oldest expression in this range, the 25 year old is matured exclusively in refill American oak casks which impart a rich, amber colour whilst retaining the balance between the underlying character of the spirit (the “distillery character”), and the flavours imparted by the wood.
The bottles for this range, and in particular this 25 year old, are designed to reflect Victorian engineering designs in a tribute to one of the key figures in Mortlach’s history, George Cowie, a civil engineer.
