Description
A truly special expression. This addition to The Macallan Exceptional Single Cask series was distilled in January 1997 and spent 22 years maturing in a sherry butt before being bottled at 56.7% abv. There were just 606 bottles of this ultra-rare Speyside expression produced.
This whisky has baking spices and sweet orange oil on the nose. On the palate, there is dried fruit and sweet honey before leading into a finish full of soft oak and lingering spice.
