Presenting the third crop of Lochlea’s Sowing Edition, released as the first of the Ayrshire distillery’s final set of their seasonal limited edition bottlings. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in with exactly what is happening there at that time of year, with Sowing representing the quintessential Springtime dram. Matured in 100% fresh first-fill bourbon barrels, this single malt highlights the floral aromatics associated with distilling in the colder months. Bottled at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.
Expect aromas of almonds and rose petals, with white pepper and a vibrant burst of apple blossom on the palate and a finish full of warm straw and fresh grass.
