Description
Bottled by indpendent bottler Gordon & Macphail, this Linkwood 1966 has been released as part of the Private Collection series. Aged for over half a century in a first-fill sherry hogshead, it is bottled at a natural strength of 51.2% abv with natural mahogony colour and free from chill filtration. Limited to only 32 bottles.
There are rich sherry aromas with soft fruitcake and festive spices leading beside citrus zest. The smooth and warming palate opens up iwith blackcurrant, raspberries and white pepper alongside notes of fresh oranges, dark chocolate and charred oak. The dram ends long and full-bodied with lingering notes of spice.
