This distinguished 33-Year-Old Highland Park, distilled in 1989 and drawn from a single bourbon hogshead (Cask No. 3004), forms part of the coveted Exceptional Cask Series. Matured on Orkney for over three decades, it offers a rare glimpse into the harmony between robust distillate and expertly selected wood.
Only 166 sequentially numbered bottles exist, each showcasing a nose of brown sugar, salted pretzels, and vanilla, leading to a rich palate of tropical fruit, heather honey, and subtle peat smoke. The finish is gently spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg, giving way to a lingering citrus note. Bottled in 2023 at 49.1% ABV, this is a refined and deeply expressive single cask release of exceptional character.
