Description
This rare 23-year-old single malt from the Ben Nevis Distillery was distilled in 1999 and matured in a single well-charred bourbon hogshead, Cask No. 905. Bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 50.8% ABV, it offers a rich and complex Highland character shaped by over two decades of patient ageing.
The nose reveals inviting aromas of toffee, walnuts, and plum jam, leading into a palate layered with salted caramel, spiced bread pudding, and hints of wood spice. Its golden hue mirrors the luxurious, velvety texture, culminating in a long, balanced finish of both sweet and savoury depth. With only 276 bottles released, this is a distinctive and collectible expression of Ben Nevis craftsmanship.
