Description
The highly anticipated fourth release from Laphroaig’s Ian Hunter Story series. In this series Laphroaig celebrates the legacy of one man: the last of the Johnston family to own and manage the Laphroaig distillery, Ian Hunter. Book 4 in the series is 34 years old, matured American white oak bourbon barrels before enjoying a finish in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. It has been bottled at 46.2% abv.
On the nose there is fresh straw, cracked black pepper, and golden syrup. The palate is sumptuous with apricots, orange blossom, and peat smoke before leading into a smoky finish full of charred oak.
