Description
From Kilchoman distillery on Islay, Batch Strength is the bold latest addition to their core range. Matured in a combination of re-charred red wine casks, oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels, a few drops of water were added post maturation to produce a batch strength of 57% abv.
Waves of red fruits, fresh cherries, heather blossom, and intense peat smoke on the nose lead to a palate of toffee, rich spices, vanilla, and more peat. The finish is especially silky with notes of fresh crumpets, butter and honey.
