Description
A 22-year-old Ben Nevis that has been specially bottled for the Golden Cask range by the House of Macduff. The liquid was drawn from a single cask that was laid to rest in 1996 for just over two decades, before being bottled in 2018 at 46.5% abv without chill filtration. Highly limited, just 150 bottles of this single malt have been produced.
The nose has berries with cream, orange peel and toasted hazelnuts. The palate has plenty of Ben Nevis’s signature fudge flavour with a chewy texture, alongside a buttery sweetness, wine gums and some herbal notes. The finish has roasted almonds with more chewy caramel.
