Description
Released as the second part in The Original Stories collection from The Glenlivet, this expression celebrates the next chapter in founder George Smith’s life story. He became one of the first to gain a license to legally distill Scotch in 1824, hence the name. Licensed Dram was matured for 12 years in a combination of American and European oak, before being bottled at 48% abv. The box is wrapped in the distilling license granted to the man himself.
Expect notes of soft peaches and strawberry jam interlaced with warming cinnamon and ginger on the nose, before a palate bursting with honey, vanilla and hazelnut. The finish is long and slightly sweet, with lasting spiced notes.
