Glenglassaugh 1978 Batch 3 (2343) 38 Year Old

Part of the third batch of Rare Cask Releases from Glenglassaugh, this Highland single malt was distilled on 6th October 1978 and aged in a single Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon, cask #2343, for 38 years before bottling in November 2016 at a cask strength of 42.5% abv. Limited to just 722 bottles.The nose has a gentle cedar wood note with honeycomb, summer fruits and rich marmalade. The palate brings fresh grapes, ripe gooseberries and muscovado sugar with delicate orange blossom.
