A UK exclusive, this superb GlenAllachie expression has been released as part of their Wood Finish series, in which Master Distiller Billy Walker handpicks the most unique casks from around the world to mature the precious spirit within. This complex bronze whisky enjoyed initial aging for over 8 years in premium American oak bourbon barrels, before a 42-month finish in specially selected Marsala casks – a fortified wine produced on the Italian island
of Sicily. Bottled at 48% abv, free from chill filtration.
Expect notes of heather honey, vanilla and stewed fruit on the nose, along with hints of liquorice and butterscotch. The palate brings lashings of apricot, toffee
and honeycomb, followed by hints of caramelised brown sugar, walnut and crème brûlée on the finish.
