Description
Distilled at The GlenAllachie in Speyside, Batch 9 in this series is crafted in a combination of Pedro Ximénez puncheons, Oloroso puncheons, virgin oak casks, and Rioja casks, each one selected by Master Distiller, Billy Walker. Matured for 10 years before bottling, this expression from is presented at a natural cask strength of 58.1% abv.
The nose opens with ripe red berries, hazelnuts and heather honey, with orchard fruits, cinnamon and ginger. The palate is bursting with plum, dark chocolate, mocha and honeycomb, leading to a warming and spicy finish.
