Description
This 14-year-old single malt has been bottled by independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of their First Edition series. Distilled in 2007 at Craigellachie in Speyside, this expression has been matured for 14 years in a sherry butt. Bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 56.9% abv, just 553 of these bottles were filled. The dram is free from artificial colouring and chill filtration.
The nose has meaty and spicy notes that are complemented wonderfully by sweet red berries. The palate brings raspberries, thick toffee, and Earl Grey tea. The meatiness returns in the dry and lingering finish.
