Description
Released as part of Hunter Laing & Co.’s First Editions series, this Islay expression was distilled in 2010 at Caol Ila distillery. It spent eleven years maturing in a bourbon barrel before being bottled in 2022 at 46% abv. Just 326 bottles have been filled, all of which are free from artificial colouring and chill filtration.
The nose is smoky and fresh with candied lemon peel and sea salt. The palate is leathery, complemented by notes of citrus and malt loaf before leading into the lingering, honeyed, and smoky finish.
