Description
An independent bottling of Ardbeg single malt from Darkness that oversees the delicious marriage between smoke and sherry. This 14-year-old Islay expression has been finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask, allowing for huge sherry-bomb notes, before being bottled at a sturdy 47.7% abv.
Coffee is fresh on the nose, along with tobacco and toffee apples. The palate is balanced, with a mixture of savoury and sweet notes and a burst of fruit that carries on in the palate, with an extra hint of smoke. Nose: Good coffee, earthy tobacco and red apples drenched in honey.
