Released to celebrate Caol Ila’s 175th anniversary, this limited edition bottle is a sensational release from one of Scotland’s best-loved distilleries. This single malt has spent 24 years quietly maturing in Islay’s largest distillery before being bottled at 52.1% abv and limited to 3000 bottles.
Inspired by every sunrise Islay has seen since the opening of the east-facing Caol Ila distillery in 1846, this 175th anniversary release is a warm and welcoming expression. This single malt is encased in a bespoke box that features an illustration of the Caol Ila puffer boat’s journey to the mainland, illuminated by the early morning sunrise.

The nose is full of rich fruits and is balanced by hints of peat and smoke. This develops into a delectable sweetness on the palate, with hints of sea salt and spice. The finish is full of chocolate and smoke from a smouldering beach bonfire.
