Description
Charles, David and Gordon Graham, three ambitious brothers from the Aberdeen hills, knew the success they yearned for would never be found in the countryside. The lure of fortune drew them to the bustling port of Aberdeen, where they made their name as tea blenders. Then, in 1879 the brothers turned their talents to a different drink, whisky and the blend they crafted was uniquely delicious, made from the finest grains and single malts. Curiously rich and peaty, it was first intended only for the tables of their closest family and friends. As a symbol of the uniquely bold character of the whisky, it was shrouded in the finest black glass and became known as ‘The Black Bottle.’
