Description
Released as a part of Benromach’s Contrasts range, this small batch release has been matured for 9 years in first-fill bourbon barrels and has been made with peated malted barley with phenol levels of 55ppm – levels usually only seen in Islay smoke-bombs like Ardbeg and Laphroaig. This Speysider packs a punch!
Expect aromas of vanilla, apricot, citrus and peat smoke, which lead to a palate full of smoky sweetness. Vanilla bean, charred lemon, butterscotch and toasted oak flavours intertwine with bonfire smoke, before a finish of sweet lemon and smoke.
