Description
Hailing from Macallan distillery in Speyside, the single malt has been aged in a single first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead for a quarter of a decade. Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 52.8% abv, free from chill filtration. Only 322 bottles were decanted from the cask.
Expect aromas of stewed fruit, toffee and candied orange, before a palate of dark chocolate, sweet treacle and warming apple pie. A lingering charred oak finish rounds off this magnificent dram.
