Description
The inaugural release from Edinburgh’s Bonnington distillery, this whisky has been matured within a single Ruby Port cask, before being bottled at 52.3% abv. Distilled in March 2020 and bottled in October 2023, all 500 bottles of this super-limited release are hand-signed by Distillery Manager, Jamie Lockhart.
Expect aromas of sweet dessert wine, dried fruits, rich oak and subtle citrus, which lead onto a palate full of sweet malt, poached pears, creamy berries, caramel and candied ginger. A long, sweet finish carries hints of gentle spice from the cask.
